Artetetra
Lost Discoveries Radio rides the waves this week with the wet & wild Babau boyz via their imprint Artetetra Records. Babau is the pantropical Italian duo harkening unearthly delights of unconscious reticular motion, wacky 3D shredding, and daily “side quests”. What these “quests” are is open to interpretation, but we’re on the trail of where they lead.... Dare brave their drop zones of animal memories, glowing red altars, pixie exodus (?!) , neon gallery meltdowns, moon spirits, groshings, cabin fever, amphibian vertex mass and more klang than you can count! All this along with a live transmission from their recent tour road-dogging through southern Europe featuring a flair of exotica influences that builds full of lofty low poly structures, tentacular “mickey-mousing” gesticulations, and already obsolete sonic ontologies. RIDE THE BARREL

The Return of ARB
Lost Discoveries Radio returns with the always amazingly abrasive DJ ARB reporting deep from within the “The Arbitrarium”, her latest avant-garde sound collage program on WFMU with an emphasis on far fringes of (un)spoken words drawing from performance art, sound poetry, underground cassette culture, industrial music, cinema of transgression, obscure post punk, no wave, queer, counter culture, prose of protest, performance poetry, found sound, and other underground/outsider music. Tonight’s blazing broadcast is no exception with choice navigation through the mind maze of madness ! So tune up, roll in, and zoom on through the hilariously haunted, bugged-out burning breeze of DJ ARB’S special LD edition broadcast release of delirium dreams & beloved sleaze...

Allesandre & White Gourd present Beltane Bouquet
We welcome back Allesandre and White Gourd presenting Beltane blessed mix along with guided wisdom of the Sweet Woodruff and Pink Lady Slipper plant allies to align spirits for the season!

Hydrofemme w/ Francesca Heart & Agua Viva
Francesca Heart is a musician, dancer and researcher with volcanic & marine origins in Southern Italy. Her practice explores the nuances between connection & alienation, through dance, hydro-feminist research, electronic music fantasia & landscape choreology, and is currently exploring computer music as a means of incantation. Agua Viva currently lives in NYC, by way of Buenos Aires, Argentina, merging galactic soundscapes with dream pop, tropical chill, and surreal bilingual lyricism inspired by visions & meditations, sometimes arriving in dreams. Please join us tonight for two back-to-back guest mixes along with a full feature of explorations in synth-pop perfumes, water mirage ambience, oceanic hymns to Beauty & Fortune for some new season blessings!

Big Debbie presents Soviet Synths
This ‘Soviet Synth’ driven sonic tapestry of old & new things that echo each into a mishmash of state sponsored, and underground music, pre / post collapse of the empire that includes old sci-fi soundtracks, diy disco, aerobic electro, new wave, post Soviet - post industrial, and nostalgic synth pop. Born in the USSR in the early 1980's, Ursula Yashenko discovered Western pop music and Soviet new wave first through their father, a navy officer, who had access to smuggled media, and an underground distribution network, and has been long time active in the San Francisco punk / noise DIY scene and later relocated to LA. With a handful of releases, backed by national & international tours, BD Productions combines music with neon collages, crude stop motion animation, camera feedback, and analog video effects, to weave “visual spells of a rhythmic state.”

Impractical Cockpit, Turned Word, & The Village of Spaces
Starting with an evening fireside chat at the Ro-He-Ge homestead, under the oak, with Dan Beckman who guides us initially into the Impractical Cockpit insanity, then wanders through the Turned Word label lore, and finally lands in the Village of Spaces , and how that was built out of a love tale in which we are joined by Amy Moon . While traversing across the American byways & highways in a grease powered storage container converted mobile home/studio on wheels, Turned Word accumulated 20 years of inspiring works which we reflect upon including hardcore heavy rippers, “freak/free-folk”, nasty electronics, flakmask frequencies, deranged expressions, slippery surfaces, musky punk pumps, odes to/from the wild waterways, riff pounders, “The Last Acts of St. Fuck You”, yodeling of future’s past, frozen head, Amps for Christ and a few things beyond general audible comprehension presented into a three part package digestible for those that dare to imbibe…

Calvin Arsenia
With Cantaloupe and petals, Lost Discoveries Radio welcomes the way for Calvin Arsenia, who’s angelic stylings on voice & harp create rare harmonies & arrangements that look past the boundaries of traditional gospel & classical disciplines. Known for his elaborate and ceremonious sensory concert experiences, that merge jazz & electronic influences, “Calvin has consistently delivered genre-bending (and gender-bending) shows that tackle sexuality, religion, and race in a stunningly unorthodox manner. Somewhere between sacred and sacrilege." Heavenly Heat mix by DJ Dachstein Angel beaming directly from downtown Kansas City, Arsenia joins us for the second half of the program to broadcast recent tracks by his inspired music community of bandmates & local song writers, and debuts a few fresh tracks that all dance daringly through a variety of artistic expressions by these KC contemporaries that are on the rise!

Alessandre & White Gourd present Summer's Height
Alessandre and White Gourd presenting the Solstice Heights celebration mix along with some guided wisdom of the Pear tree and Cinquefoil plant allies. Our first transmission is received by Chanelle, a flower essence devotee, poet and has soundscaped as Mille, De_Plata, Tenisele or SuperMoon Music. While tending her gardens in North Carolina she's funneling the atmosphere into a textured soundscape to match the evenings airing. Back-to-back is a new track & mix by White Gourd, who explores the depths of tarot as a metaphorical exploration in the forms of complex live performance rituals. . Tonight join in the week of the longest day of the year through the lively pulsations, focusing on a deepening relation with the verdant world, all guided by these ever-dynamic beings!

Bernard Herman presents...
A Lost Discoveries regional DJ takes an unexpected ride on the Haunted side while prepping for the gig near a frog infested pond. Disappearing under the influence of an invocation, hypnotized into subconscious underworld tunnels, stumbling into the brain center of a Haunted NYC Rock N' Roll Dungeon, hosted by none other than the infamous Bernard Herman, not to be confused with the dead film music composer Bernard Herrmann. Bernard Herman has written music, made videos, and has given disturbing night time tours through the various parks and green spaces of New York City, testing the mind, body and spirit of their guests and described by the Village Voice as "a psychological minefield that pushes participants’ boundaries beyond any place considered normal."

Annapurna Himal Wagner
Tonight, we get Heavy by paying tribute to Annapurna Himal Wagner with a full scope of her '(anti) musical' workings by way of bass dirges, guitar shrieks and hellish wails. For almost 2 decades Purna drifted through, rode & ripped the often bleak & beautiful byways of America forming bands with Assassins, Mating Dance, Ganja, Vvltvre, and Purism. We've compiled newly mastered versions of past albums, pulled from our archives, sharing a couple premieres and, importantly, been careful to make sure it's fully AP approved by the advice of all close bandmates whom we deeply thank for guidance & contributions. E3, of Purism and FINISHED, has lovingly provided an hour long birthday mix of her favorite songs including Arvo Part, Rudimentary Peni, Big Black, Swans, and Coil to name a few.. so light up a candle, crack a cold one, shake your wallet at the full moon, get your boots on and swirl into the Scoripionic settings....
